The EIS Local Association in Aberdeen has over 2000 members working in primary schools, secordary schools, special schools, Aberdeen College and our two universities.
The role of the Local Association (LA) is to provide advice, help and support at local level to EIS members.
Information is sent to Aberdeen's educational establishments for distribution to members by EIS Reps through the EIS staff notice board, or increasingly by email. LA meetings, open to all members, are held throughout the school session.
The Local Association sponsors regular training courses for EIS Representatives and EIS Health and Safety Reps.
